“If its one thing that’s true its that people love to talk about their [customer service] experiences” – Michael Ryan.

  • How do you measure a successful execution of customer service?
  • How many times per day do you strive to exemplify customer service?
  • How do you create your ideal regular customer?
  • How do you ‘hire for customer service’?
  • When interviewing a potential barista, how can you tell if this person will have great customer service?
  • How are you displaying great customer service to your co-workers or staff?
  • How are you teaching your co-workers to engage with each other?
  • Who defines what customer service really is?

Audio Cafe 003: Water Quality for Coffee and Machines

Talking about water filtration/quality with @ColeCoffee. Cole McBride is a Coffee Professional & Representative of Speciality Coffee. He is the Director of Education at @VisionsEspresso, started the Northwest Latte Art League (@NWLAL) and serves on the @BaristaGuild Executive Council. Impressive resume if you ask me! He must know a lot about water quality.

What about you, what is something that you have learned recently about water that you would like to share with everyone? Did you notice there’s no water in that there kettle Cole is holding?

Audio Cafe 002: Meet Jesse and John of Conduit Coffee

Hanging out at a summer BBQ in downtown Seattle and talking to @ConduitCoffee roasters. They’re a two man company (Jesse Nelson and John Liberty) who bike all their roasted beans to your door (if you’re in Seattle). Listen in as we chat like old friends at a high school reunion.

What about you? Who’s your roaster? Or better yet, what do you wish your roaster would do that would be spectacular?

What about you? How did you start in coffee? What do you do now in coffee? If you don’t work in coffee that’s alright, what do you love most about your favorite cafe/coffeehouse?
